The challenge
A 3.6-hectare site (around 2 hectares developable) on the northern edge of Langford, needing a layout and drainage strategy that worked with, rather than against, the constraints of the land.
Our approach
OG Urban Design shaped the outline layout of 2–4 bedroom homes around an attenuation-basin focal point, while OG Consulting Engineers produced the Flood Risk Assessment, drainage strategy and access and highway design — with offsite SuDS — for the 75 units.
Outcome
Promoted through outline application — 75 homes with at least 30% affordable housing.
